GPS Theft on the Increase in Maribymong
The police has called on residents, particularly those in the City of Maribymong to be more vigilant about security with particular reference to vehicle. The call came as a result of recent increase in the number of thefts properties and most especially vehicles in the city.
While advising the residents on the need to be more alert and security conscious themselves, the Acting Senior Sergeant, Frank Fabbian said that "Don't be tempted to leave items behind in your vehicle, leaving items under seats or in the glove box is not advisable as thieves will and do still locate them. Do not make your car an easy target for a criminal."
"The majority of theft from motor car offences is occurring during daylight hours, in and around major shopping centres and train stations in the Maribyrnong area and in public car parks," he said"
Also, police have called on individuals to be alert and report any strange activities conduct by a person or group of persons to 000 in order to stem their activitiesLabels: GPS News
