Dash Express Unveils New Service

GPS system owners can now have custom applications on their devices courtesy the new product being launched by Dash Express. This new application opens up the company network to third party software, the service which before now was not allowed.

The application created through this means is named DashApps and Dash users can access the application using their "MyDash portal".

With this application users can download numerous features which include hunting for the home of their dreams from Coldwell Banker – Allowing them to search for homes for sale through their GPS system and displays the locations on the GPS system map.

The time and meeting place from Funambol give access to Outlook,  Yahoo and Google calendar through their GPS system. By simply clicking on a meeting schedule, the system will direct the user to the location.

Others are, "what's that tune" from Mediaguide which finds out names of songs that are playing on car radio. Users will be able to see a list of the last three songs that played on their favorite stations; "Speed trap Ahead from Trapster" - Provides live speed trap and red light information on the GPS map and "Is it going to rain" - Provides up to date weather information.
